Village Of The Sun feat Binker & Moses (Gearbox 12" 45)

2 track 12" collaboration with Simon Ratcliffe meeting Binker Golding & Moses Boyd from a few years back.
Electronic beats and the improvising of two of the best artists to emerge from the current UK “Jazz” genre. Cut by the always superb Gearbox records and still available I think.
Pity a full album hasnt seen the light of day as far as I know.

This stylistic crossover breaks new ground with a distinctive mix of Alice Coltrane-inspired spiritual jazz, pseudo-samba rhythms, and dreamy steel pan textures.

It would have been Elmore James Birthday today so I am playing a great sounding comp in his honour.

Don Henley | Actual Miles | 1995
Some of his best up to '95, good stuff to cruise through all in one place.
