Masahiko Togashi, the late drummer/percussionist (who for much of his career was wheelchair-bound) is a titanic figure in Japanese jazz, but is not that well-known outside of his homeland. This splendid-sounding vinyl reissue (on we Want Sounds) of this 1979 LP, made with Charlie Haden and Don Cherry, will hopefully correct this…
Konrad Ragossnig. Vinyl. Very pleasant.
“Konrad Ragossnig (6 May 1932 – 3 January 2018) was an Austrian classical guitarist and lutenist.”
On CD:-
Waterson:Carthy - Holy Heathens And The Old Green Man
The wonderful title track clocking in at just under 16 minutes - glorious.
Plus a superb band.
Lee Morgan - Search for the New Land
Always good and being a teen of the 70’s, its my favourite program.
Grace Potter & The Nocturnals – This Is Somewhere
CD|2007
folk rock, acoustic. another album haven’t listened to in some time.
As darkness falls some suitably atmospheric and somewhat sombre music from the much missed EST and Winter in Venice. Captivating.
Great to see some Kigaku Moyo getting played.
