George Michael. Older. 1996. To my ears, easily his best, and well recorded.

Not perhaps everyone’s favourite Bowie album, but I like it!

Enjoying this fusion of Classical, Jazz and some spoken word

A which-copies-to-keep scenario. I have 4 (3 US, 1 UK).
US Mono/UK cover. Can’t remember if the mono mix is dedicated or a fold…

Been belatedly enjoying Brinsley Forde’s (formerly of Aswad) debut album, which came out nearly 10 years ago (already!)

Brinsley Forde - Urban Jungle (JahSolidRock)

Harks back to the sound of Aswad when they were on top of their game before they went down the more pop/commercial road.

A mention from @QuickSticks in the gigs forum had me digging out from Qobuz Mammoth WVH
Wolfgang Van Halen, Eddie VH’s son

Pleasant, but I won’t be exercising the wallet moths

I had much the same opinion on the Vinyl and the stage.
Definitely got some maturing to do…

its been a very melodic and yet eclectic mix so far today…

Now this is more like it for a chilly day in North Yorkshire moving stone and building a little wall.

If this any indication of their gig last night, wish I’d seen it

Halestorm - Back From The Dead

Roachford. Debut album 1988. Vinyl. Great voice. Seen him twice live, once when touring his “Permanent Shade of Blue” album and also as singer/keyboards in “Mike and the Mechanics” more recently.

@VinoVeritas Halestorm’s section of the gig last night was excellent, but a shadow of the “An Evening with Halestorm” we were at earlier in the year.
If you ever get an opportunity to go see them as a support or HEADLINE, do it! I promise, you won’t be disappointed!!

Impossible to listen to this now without mental image of Alan Partridge miming along to ‘Cuddly Toy’ whilst driving!
