If that’s ok for you, then of course it’s ok. My OCD would probably have me reripping the album!
King Crimson - In the Wake of Poseidon
Somewhat overshadowed by its predecessor.
John Mayer. Debut album 2001. Gifted writer and performer imho.
Just a bit!

The Court … certainly casts a mighty dark shadow, but the follow-up is still a cracker imo
How unlike the home life of our own Dear Julie
I am beginning to regret my purchase of his latest missive …
Hoping you are well , and can get to your Mum’s for Christmas
I’m giving it a second run-through. Happier When You’re Gone is the standout for me, absolute stunner.
Deep Purple | Deep Purple | 1969
I’ve been playing this opening track on multiple repeat (and have done so for decades). Just a fabulous track where Paicey’s hard hitting percussion drives the music and leads the guitars. Most of the rest of the album is forgettable but this is epic and was my first introduction to 'Purple back in the day. Tribal meets hard rock on this track.
Didn’t think I would like this but it’s grown on me….bit of a slow burn for me but glad I persisted….
The Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers - WAV CD rip
Having listened to Marianne Faithful’s wonderful reading of Sister Morphine last night, time to hear Mick’s take on it, hmm, which do I prefer? Hard to say, both are powerful takes, I suppose when I get it as an earworm it’s always the MF version. This is probably my favourite Stones album (subject to change whenever I listen to others of their great works), bluesy rockers and great ballads superbly performed.
Now playing…
Roger Waters - The Lockdown Sessions
Streaming on Qobuz (48/24)… continuing on this morning with another spin Roger’s ‘The Lockdown Sessions’ and Roger and the band are sounding sublime! Quite enjoyable…
Fields of the Nephilim | Mourning Sun | 2005
This one was cut nearly fourteen years after they first split up. As ever with FotN it’s sort of Goth rock meets psychedelic but it wasn’t hard enough for much of the old fanbase who were into the extreme growling of earlier years.
‘The Gift’ - The Jam
On this day 40 years ago (11 December 1982) The Jam played their last gig (in Brighton).
Their final album is patchy, but the track ‘Ghosts’ sounds superb on my system - a favourite of mine.
