Love that track and always had a copy (poor mp3) unfortunately the words are just as relevant today as was in the 60s.
Yes the SO York opened so many doors to other music to me over the years. Great team there, David is one of the finest ‘fettlers’ of the LP12, and whilst Simon left many years ago we have remained friends and often visit/stay with him and his wife.
I watched this on a steam driven, black and white 14” telly, and it made quite an impression at the time.
Still there on YouTube.
Pat Metheny Group We Live Here / 1997 MCA / Japan CD - No OBI / MVCG168
Starting the day with an uplifting PMG recording.
I see Nicky has gone to that big checkout in the sky.
Such a beautiful LP12
What a beautiful LP12

Over the weekend.
Sad news indeed. RIP Nicky.
Yesterday, I just looked it up
Acoustic Mania Talking Hands / 1997 naim / Austria CD / naimcd020

At The Chelsea Nightclub (Tidal)
Kind of ironic that he passed on another boring Sunday while the old man was out washing the car
Thanks to @AndyP (if thanks is the right word) for breaking the news
