That’s a grand description that my sandwich isn’t worthy of
Old 97’s - Blame It On Gravity
CD rip | 2008
Its a news related pun, in case you didnt hear, a publican in Devon (I think it was) for a joke renamed his traditional ploughmans a ploughpersons sparking fury amongst Daily Mail, Telegraph and Express (who made it a front page story) readers.
John McLaughlin - The Promise
The list of guest musicians reads like a who’s who of contemporary jazz.

I’ve never been able to see it…I had some success from those books when they were a thing, so I’ll keep trying.
It’s the source tape and recording, which isn’t very good. It’s a great session though, so if you don’t mind the SQ it’s worth getting.
Cheers
In fairness there wasn’t much going on in the news that day
Talking Heads - Fear Of Music
CD rip | 1979
Saw this posted a week or two ago. Finally remembered to give it a listen, since it’s been a while.
Horslips - Happy to Meet, Sorry to Part (1972 OATS vinyl)
The upcoming release of the 33 CD (yes, 33!!) retrospective box set has got me digging out my old Horslips records.
I was more of a rocker than a folkie in the early 70s and perhaps did not appreciate this debut enough when it came out in 1972 but it is a lovely traditional Irish record with slivers of rock pulsing through it and still sounds lovely after 50 years.

I once eat a ploughman’s lunch, he was really angry with me!
