What are you listening to in 2022 and why might anyone be interested

Just found out Ascension Of The Watchers had released this double CD Translations/Apocrypha a while back - and they’re touring - Rescue Rooms, Nottingham
Anyone thinking who…
Burton C Bell - ex of Fear Factory - sort of solo project
Jayce Lewis is producer/programming - he has done support slot for Mr Numan in the past - and of course quite a number of years ago Numan worked with FF on their version of “Cars”!
Strange how life goes round in circles!

By the way if you’re expecting thrashy metal (Fear Factory style) you might want to think again?

  1. Russ Gabriel. Into the Unknown.
Cd cost me pennies from Amazon uk.
A nice “Jazz-tronica” set with a few tracks I’ve heard before in some Balearic style compilations.

A decent-sounding blues comp on blue vinyl with a very tasty tracklist…

Can’t say no to a bit of the rockiest funk ever. Funkadelic One Nation Under a Groove. Just seems appropriate today altho it’s more community and liberation than pomp and circumstance. On well worn UK Warner’s Vinyl - not sure where the bonus 12" has gone tho.

Jonathan Wilson - Fanfare. It’s taken me a while, but I’ve finally grown to love this 2013 album, which is clearly inspired by the Laurel Canyon scene of the late 60s and early 70s.

Frank Zappa - Apostrophe (‘)

I don’t listen to Zappa often enough, but on the occasions when I do, I am reminded of just how clever this guy was.
