‘The Prisoner’ - Herbie Hancock

2020 Tone Poet reissue of the 1969 Blue Note release. Great album.

I see Herbie is playing Glastonbury this year. What a guy.

A lovely early evening so, some early prog’ is on the menu this is not their finest but it’s still a good album in their Canterbury style.

I’d forgotten how good this is. Heard it around a mates place this afternoon. One of those rare albums where every track is a gem. If you like bluesy rock you MUST listen to this! All star cast including BB King, Robert Cray, Steve Lukather and Neal Schon.

Great stuff. Very 60’s Motown.

Peter Tosh - Complete Captured Live (Parlophone 2LP)

This holds a special place in the hearts of Mrs Dread and I.
Peter captured at The Greek Theatre LA in 1983, first time on the black stuff. ( in this case its coloured marbled vinyl which made me wary but thankfulky the pressing is good)

Followed by his 1983 album Mama Africa, great songs as strong and powerful as any from his earlier and perhaps more well known albums.

Peter Tosh- Mama Africa (EMI 1983)

Something more punchy from these boys doing their early, prog’, kraut’ and experimental stuff all of which was wonderful!
