What are you listening to in 2023 and why might anyone be interested?

Great to see some Fiona Apple on here!

@SimonDC my favourite too! I saw Midge Are earlier this year, the songs he played predominantly from this album and Quartet. The Visage song “Fade To Grey” as well. As I missed Ultravox live first time round this sort of made up for it, I was well chuffed.

‘Touch’ – Eurythmics

I love the opening track ‘Here Comes the Rain Again’

Those strings/synths take me back to ’83 in an instance when I hear it.

Wishing all on the listening thread a lovely Sunday evening.

Very much an album where it’s easy to pick out the influences.

Slowly listening to all of this (in between doing DIY etc).
Arrived in the post yesterday - another part of my buying just the original albums without bonus tracks.

Sorry , I don’t get what you are assuming?

Not assuming anything Steve, just surprised at the size of this Boxset.
It’s an absolute monster is all I was thinking.

Carly Simon - No Secrets.

Ah ok got it QS @QuickSticks , I thought you were referring to my collection. Yes that Hades box is extremely tempting but I’m trying to be strong!

Grateful Dead - Blues For Allah.
A bit meandering, losing its way sometimes, but still delightfully Dead.

I bought a CD Boxset a few years back now (probably 20), it’s the Tangents one that I’m fond of. I have about 20ish releases (CD & Vinyl) of Tangerine Dream’s, but your collection is incredible.
Closest I can get to it is my Rush collection, which now stands at 57 (CD & Vinyl).
It’s what we enjoy, so no criticism here
