‘With the Beatles’ - The Beatles
On CD this evening.
Often considered purchasing the vinyl version of this LP but will hold off given the positive reviews of the de-mixed versions on the new Red album.
My Stereo version is rather irritating with the extreme panning (vox on the right; instruments on the left).
Perhaps Xmas 2024 will deliver a box set of this wonderful LP? Hope so!
Now playing…
Christine and the Queens - PARANOIA, ANGELS, TRUE LOVE
Christine and the Queens (Vocals), 070 Shake (Vocals), Adrian Edeline (Guitar), Amaury Ranger (Bass), Darren King (Drums), Davide Rossi (Strings), Joseph Bishara (Strings), Madonna (Vocals), Mike Dean] (Vocals), Sarah Schachner (Strings), Vincent Taeger (Drums) and Vincent Taurelle (Piano).
Streaming on Qobuz (176.4/24)… continuing on this afternoon with Christine and the Queens and the music is sounding mighty sweet!
‘Be Yourself Tonight’ - The Eurythmics
One of those albums where most of the hit singles are on side one, and side two is the most satisfying.
‘Night and Day’ - Joe Jackson
One of those albums that justifies the investment into HiFi, not least because it’s a brilliant album. This Kevin Gray remaster is one of the best LPs in my collection. The bass is punchy yet controlled, the vocal is out front but never harsh, the piano/midrange just perfect. Absolutely nailed it.
