Damn site was down I was going play all the albums I have that are slightly embarrassing.![]()
I had started to play the Eagles Long Road Out Eden which I haven’t played for years. Not their best, but to be honest I think they’re slightly overrated (excluding Hotel California). I’ll get my hat.
I remember recording on my now deceased Revox a series of programmes about the radiophonic workshop on R3 many years ago, and thinking I would love to get into all the special effects trickery - never did though.
A nice reminder of these days

Yes indeed sir!
I was just about to post that, you beat me to it.
this is both one of Horace Andy’s and Wackies finest albums. A jewel in a very fat Wackies crown.
The track Spying Glass will be very familiar to Massive Attack fans as Horace versioned it on their Protection album, I think Massive Attack sampled another track from Dance Hall Style but I cant recall off the top of my head. Anyways forward from the top this one is the original style…
Horace has done a few versions of Money Money, the first I think was for Bunny Lee, there is another fine version for Blacker Dread (Coxone Outernational had a fantastic dub plate of this)
Yes, the great Cuss Cuss riddim, the first version was Lloyd & Devon at Studio One, I have it somewhere but cant find it at the mo, I’m sure its also on one of the Soul Jazz comps I have.
This is the brilliant Lloyd Robinson Harry J killer you mentioned. Theres also a nice Sax instrumental cut credited to King Cannon, again cant locate it at the mo, will get my miners lamp and go digging.
Selecta!..run the track!
Btw love your avatar pic ![]()
