Staying with it. More old Vinyl. 1972.
Found this quote from Luke Morley of Thunder talking about Free:
“The reason I never tire of their records is because they have an incredible musical economy, which is very unusual in rock ‘n’ roll,” Thunder’s Luke Morley told us. “Their ability to leave massive gaps – whether it’s in the guitar part, drums or the bass – almost makes it feel as if you can walk into the songs and wander around, and that’s so difficult to do. Most rock bands want to play loud all the time, and to achieve that kind of economy and space is amazing.”
Started off earlier with a bit of Beth & Joe via Qobuz, whilst having coffee with my neighbour.
Now moved on to Santana Abraxas on Record😊
Joining @Collywobbles & @AlanP with some Free.
Next up will be :
Free - Live! - extended re-master with extra choons.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge fan of Free, and it’s mainly all good, but the live version of “Moonshine” just encapsulates everything “Free” for me.
Decided to stay with the Woodstock acts.
I know I complain about the production quality of this album, but I still love playing it.
1st Santana, now CSN… what should I have next I wonder🤔
