Judie Tzuke. Welcome to the Cruise. Debut album 1979 on Vinyl. Probably her best. This is bringing back a few memories. Saw her a few times when she was working the Uni/College circuit hard between 79 and 82. Good songs to be fair.
Internet radio “again”.
Taking out the new SuperStereo 8 station - soul and ballads - for a spin.
Superb flac 24/96 SQ and excellent content.
Judie Tzuke. Sportscar. Second album. 1980. The title track seems to be about an unwanted advance from a guy. (probably in the record industry). Contains the wonderful ad-lib at the end: " I don’t care who you are, you’re not putting your car in my garage."
Emily Portman, Coracle – on CD from 2015 - her 3rd solo album.
English folk/with some folk-pop in the mix, from singer/songwriter Emily. If ‘basic folk’ is your bag, I’d recommend a listen. An album you need to concentrate on to fully appreciate the stories being told.
I had to message them with an order query the other day. It was a real struggle to navigate their automated reply options to actually be able to send them a message, and they then took a day and a half to reply. When they eventually did reply though, they did sort out my issue pretty quickly and satisfactorily.
Gaz Coombes - Turn the Car Around
New one from Gaz Coombes who you can always be relied on to produce a great record.
There is something here for everyone. Super production, songwriting and musicianship.
Nice to know in todays world there are musicians releasing compelling albums.
If you’ve been seduced in Mr Valo’s musical twilight before, then you can now prepare to pulse in the glow of the heartagram once again.
That’s great thank you…
