What are you listening to in 2024 and why might anyone be interested?

I love Neats. Them and Naim is a marriage made in heaven, IMO.

Hey Simon, have you researched this forum for opinions on the Ministras? I just looked them up on the internet and found a link back to this forum in the following thread:

I’ve never heard them, but I say again that the smaller stand mount speakers look just right in your room.

Joni Mitchell - Hejira

Playing the CD from the Asylum Albums 1976-1980 box set. It’s just a bit clearer than the original release, which was already a very clean sounding album. This is my favourite studio album from Joni. Beautiful songs performed by great musicians, plus of course the incredible Joni.

I did see them, but haven’t read any. I wanted to form my own opinion first.
I like the idea of Stand Mounts now, assuming I can find an acceptable stand of course, but they will almost certainly need to be a size up from the Ministra’s I think.
Mrs Q just came and had a listen and her immediate reaction was “They need more Punch!”

They made three albums, the last as the wonderful Radio Caroline related band Loving Awareness.

Then the band went their separate ways to the Average White Band and Ian Dury’s Blockheads.

Superb guitar from John Turnball who later worked with World Party.

From one of those late 60’s early 70’s British bands who contained suberb musicians. This record is on Qobuz with the album title of Questions.

If your liking the Neat sound but you want more punch than the Ministra’s are able to deliver then the larger stand mount Majistra could be exactly what your looking for but I’m sure you will already have them on your audition list.
