INXS - Listen Like Thieves - CD (1985)
I was disappointed I was at Wembley for the Saturday event and the set list and performance was way better than this.
I still purchase a hardcopy newspaper each morning, while listening to a couple of LPs. Occasionally you get to chuckle at the print errors - including this one from yesterday…
Superb album Ian!
Albion : Lakesongs of Elbid (Bandcamp 48/24)
There have been some great albums out this year, but this one is still getting many a play. Fantastic proggy folk rock, at times almost proggy metal. There are clearly hints of old Jethro Tull especially early on (I can’t hear flute in rock music and not think of Tull) but the album offers so much more. Probably best of the year so far for me
Alexis Korner - Blues Incorporated
R & B from the Marque - 1962
Decca CD re-release with a bonus track “I’m Built For Comfort” Vocal: John Baldry.
Thanks Isca
Just had a look at the what are you preparing for dinner tonight thread and saw your chicken skewers with the mango - chilli - tomato salad .
Very appetising and perfect on this warm evening
Wishing you a good night and working week ahead
Cheers Ian
Now playing…
Vijay Iyer - Uneasy
Vijay Iyer (Piano), Linda May Han Oh (Double Bass) and Tyshawn Sorey (Drums).
Streaming on Qobuz (96/24)… continuing on this afternoon with Vijay and taking out his ‘Uneasy’ album for a spin and the trio are sounding sublime!
Thanks Ian - no work for me tomorrow. I’ve the rest of the month off. No Sunday evening drabs here, aka watching ‘World About Us’ post-bath night.
And it is one of those rare Exeter evenings when it’s possible for me to wear a t-shirt late into the evening and not feel cold. Will be inside soon to spin some vinyl - hope you, and all folks on this thread, have a great week ahead.

Very soothing with a rather Espers-esque ambiance, …and nothing wrong with that
Popped in to a local record fair this morning. Always nice to spy something you have never seen before and a collaboration that is new to yourself
Neal Schon and Jan Hammer - Here To Stay, first play and pleased to find I have bagged a Japanese release.
