A little bit of vintage Roxy this morning… There best album!
I have not played this album for a long time, years, in fact. Some records are worse than you remember, and some are better. This does fall into the latter category. It is much more enjoyable to listen to than I thought, and it is a very well-produced record. There is lots to like.
Terell Stafford - Brotherlee Love (Celebrating Lee Morgan)
It must be owing to the limited edition (mine is 375/500), but these pressings are astonishingly good. Nice shiny vinyl, dead flat and packed in anti static inner sleeves too. If only all records could be as good as these!
Oh, the music and playing are rather fine too.
Great album, I was listening to it the other day!
Good pick…![]()
New album tomorrow I believe….
They’re touring here early next year, if the new album sounds ok I may grab some tickets….

Ash Ra Temple - Schwingungen (1972). Listening to the 50th anniversary edition via Apple Music 'cos it’s not on Qobuz. The band’s second album, following the departure of Klaus Schulze. Manuel Gottsching on lead, and very good he is too.

The wonderful trumpet of Yazz Ahmed and her first album: Finding My Way Home. First time it is available on vinyl having signed to a new label. I had the good fortune to hear her live on Monday night in Bristol too.
