From the “super deluxe” version of the 2018 mix of Animals, I’m playing the LP. I was one of the lucky people who got a flawless pressing. The bass on this thing, especially on “Pigs (Three Different Ones”) is quite incredible. Just shows you what vinyl can do.
‘Misplaced Childhood’ - Marillion
Wonderful album in so many ways - lyrically and musically. Side Two, sans hits, is even better than Side One.
New Power Generation - Exodus.

The 1969 soundtrack album for Barbet Schroeder’s feature film debut More is perhaps Pink Floyd’s most underrated album; in fact, those numpties who do YouTube ranking videos commonly put it, along with Ummagumma, at the bottom of the pile – below musical effluent like A Momentary Lapse of Reason and The Endless River.
This is a lovely 1974 Toshiba-EMI pressing, which comes in a gorgeous gatefold sleeve, complete with obi, insert and an integral 12 x 12 booklet containing stills from the movie:
Jakob Bro - Gefion
Phil Collins - No Jacket Required.
An exceptional band. CD rip.
I saw Van Morrison in the Ulster Hall in Belfast last night. I’ve seen him many times since the 70’s. Highlight was his cover of ‘Green Rocky Road’.
And even better is the cover by Maureen Bradley - 17 years old from Donegal in Ireland.
Muireann Bradley. Bad spelling last post!
