On Vinyl:
Gorillaz - Cracker Island - CD (2023)
Change of pace, Gorillaz’s 8th Studio album and the first to top the UK Album chart.
Bacao Rhythm & Steel Band - BRSB. Deeply funky, dub influenced originals and covers of hip-hop tracks. The steel pan is used just enough to add a flavour, but not so much that it detracts from the overall groove. Good stuff.
This was rightly mentioned in the recent best live album thread.
Many GD live albums are sublime and heightened experiences, this is certainly.
Live/Dead - The Grateful Dead.

Contains the best cover of Satisfaction I’ve ever heard, and some other crackers too.

Listened to this on the 200 mile trip I have just accomplished.
More marvellous Dead.

Gary Peacock - Tales of Another
From 1977 another ECM essential from the Qobuz sale for a couple of quid in Hi Res.
This trio of Gary Peacock, Jack Dejohnette and Keith Jarrett would go on to form the classic line up.
The album does feature Keith Jarrett on ‘vocals’.
