Paul Simon - Still Crazy After All These Years - CD (1975)
Playing this in memory of Phil Ramome 05/01/34 - 30/03/13 (79), who in 1958 co-founded A & R Recording, Inc., a recording studio with business partner Jack Arnold. Ramone was regarded as one of the most successful producers in history, winning 14 Grammy awards and working with stars such as Ray Charles, Bob Dylan, Elton John and Paul McCartney. He produced the first major commercial release on CD, Billy Joel’s 1982 album 52nd Street. Ramone had been in hospital for several weeks, where he was being treated for an aortic aneurysm.
Ralph Vaughan-Williams. 1971, Adrian Boult. Vinyl. Nice.
" It is dedicated to Vaughan Williams’s friend and fellow composer George Butterworth (1885–1916) who was subsequently killed by a sniper on the Somme during World War I.[7] It was Butterworth who had first encouraged Vaughan Williams to write a purely orchestral symphony.." WIKI.
That’s the gardening done, what a lovely day!
An album to remind me of a time when picking up a few leaves didn’t feel like a truck had just hit you. This is more like it, sitting down with a nice glass of white listening to an old favourite.
Back from a good 6 mike walk along the beech with my faithful dog - a belly full of the best fish n chips money can buy and now ready to settle down to some good music and a few beers - cheers.

I notice than in some of the pictures of CD cases posted in this thread there are columns of Japanese (?) characters down the left-hand side. I’m guessing these are ‘special’ CDs in some way. Could someone explain what they are please and where do you buy them? TIA
