More play for this rather beautiful PSB album. A very different mood and production to their last, Hotspot, which was pretty mediocre, and vaguely embarrassing, their Berlin album. Mmmm. . . no.

This tilts its hat to the wonders of Very and Behaviour, without feeling formulaic.

Melodies and melancholy, with a few upbeat songs sprinkled in the mix.

James Ford’s production is sublime.

Everyone’s go to album always seems to be 1976’s Rebel, but there was more to John than that, so here’s his forth release MMPH, back with producer Alan Parson’s

For the cover, Miles wanted a picture of himself as a pilot in front of a Concorde, but British Airports in London denied permission so Miles had to fly to New York to do the shoot.
