What are you listening to in 2025 and why might anyone be interested?

On the cusp of a new year (happy New Year to our members in NZ!), a new and refreshed “what are you listening to” thread.

I’m currently listening to a Kirsty Young Podcast with Nigel Slater.

John Williams

Raiders of the Lost Ark

Fully in the mood for some more music form Zimmer & Williams after last night’s concert which as usual was brilliant.

Still sitting there in my favourite/top played pieces. The organ crescendo is just wicked, and really shows off the entry level NC 200 Series capabilities.

Happy New Year all,

Raye - My 21st Century Symphony

I heard Raye on TV at some point over the Christmas holiday period and thought she looked and sounded very much like Amy Winehouse. I listened to My 21st Century Blues last night. Although very good, it was very much modern R&B. However, this live album, recorded at the RAH, is astonishingly like Ms Winehouse. Most enjoyable and recommended.

Eric’s playing on here goes up to a completely higher level, and his plaintiff vocals are something else. Stella band and then his incendiary duetting with Duanne Allman!

I have just stuck this on. On Dynaflex.

What an opening track for a live album!
