Lazar Berman: Prokofiev Piano Sonata no. 8 and Rachmaninov 6 Moments Musicaux. One of my old DG vinyl collection from 1976. Berman seems to have been locked inside the USSR for a large part of his performing career which is a pity as these 2 powerful performances show. Sounding impressive with the recent Karousel/Keel/Radikal 2 upgrades on my LP 12 as well.

“A Moon Shaped Pool” - Radiohead

Something of a return to to form when this was released in 2016. Still pushing the boundaries of what rock music can be, but nowhere near as obtuse as “The King of Limbs”.

Didn’t realise this albums 40 yrs old although the lyrics of We Work The Black Seam maybe give its age away in the light of many countries’ current energy policy direction. Still a favourite listen though!
