A-Sun Amissa
Ceremony in the Stillness
2018
Gizeh Records
Another album of atmospheric post-rock from recently discovered local-(ish) band.
Lazar Berman: Prokofiev Piano Sonata no. 8 and Rachmaninov 6 Moments Musicaux. One of my old DG vinyl collection from 1976. Berman seems to have been locked inside the USSR for a large part of his performing career which is a pity as these 2 powerful performances show. Sounding impressive with the recent Karousel/Keel/Radikal 2 upgrades on my LP 12 as well.
I bet you know what day it is today!

The Band - Greatest Hits
They are all bangers. Perfect for a grey afternoon.
Stereolab
Mars Audiac Quintet
1994 (2019 expanded reissue)
Duophonic Ultra High Frequency Disks
Reminding myself just how much I love early Stereolab.
“A Moon Shaped Pool” - Radiohead
Something of a return to to form when this was released in 2016. Still pushing the boundaries of what rock music can be, but nowhere near as obtuse as “The King of Limbs”.
Honest @Debs, I didn’t, so thank you for reminding me, thats my next selection sorted ![]()
It’s been one of these days, that If I could fast forward to Friday, I would, Thank god I haven’t got long to go before retirement beckons.

The Cactus Blossoms – Every Time I Think About You
CD | 2024
Country, country rock. Not sure how I came across this band, but I like the album.
Didn’t realise this albums 40 yrs old although the lyrics of We Work The Black Seam maybe give its age away in the light of many countries’ current energy policy direction. Still a favourite listen though!
A lovely buy this afternoon in mint condition in a 3 album boxset
Albinoni - 12 Concerti A Cinque Opus 9
