Listened while walking, on a beautiful Northern California winter day, to the temple near San Francisco’s Presidio where the funeral services for the wife of a friend would be held.

Yes it was such a great time for music and club nights.
I was watching an interview with Bobby Gillespie recently and he was saying just the same when Loaded came out he likened it to a 2nd Summer of love .
I totally got that as everything was so fresh and there was so much creativity weather bands and of cause all the house music weather from the States on import or Uk or Europe
In my town Brighton we must have had 5 or 6 record shops just selling dance music
And many clubs doing house nights.
Obviously we are alot older and no way would I would go to a club these days but great memories with clubs here just selling water as everyone was on E and united in the music and dancing.Random stangers shaking your hand wishing you a good night just summed it all up.I never ever saw any fights.
By the end of 1993 the rave scene had got more commercial and for me to overground and it lost its magic. As Drum and Bass was coming out I got more into that for a while with people like Goldie and artists on his Metalheadz label.
Wishing you a good day mate
Cheers Ian

Tomita. Snowflakes are dancing.
Thursdays are usually the worst day of the week which in itself is some achievement so I’m easing in with an old favourite.

Everything you’ve said resonates with me in terms of clubbing etc in Newcastle at the time . Spent many hours in Hitsville USA record shop buying the latest house, dance vinyl.

So true… the rave community in the late 80’s and early 90’s was the best. I found it did change in the mid to late 90’s sadly. But, for a few years it provide some terrific memories!
