For no good reason I don’t own any of their albums but following recent radio interview decided to revisit their back catalogue starting with this second album. Qobuz.
You seriously have to get Capt and Me an all time classic.
It’s in the queue. Even with a collection of around 2000 cds it’s amazing how many gaps there are.

Uwe Nettelbeck’s merry band of avant pranksters and their debut album on the recently minted Virgin Records label. It was famously sold at a fixed price of 48p on release which tempted many buyers into a speculative purchase. The record itself is a pretty wild ride taking in psychedelic Krautrock, sound collage, musique concrète, free jazz and a multitude of other disciplines.
First listen to this live recording from 1977. Not a good quality recording, but being a fan of EJ, particularly his earlier work, I am enjoying the stripped back rawness of this. Elton expressing himself well in both words and his playing.
