Same here. Saw Floyd, Stones and the 11 August Zeppelin set.

Wonderful memories of great music under a cloudless sky on all three occasions.

The Stones were very late on due to “technical difficulties” ie Keef was “inconvenienced” :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

It’s worth looking up Freddy Bannisters memoir for the background to all the 70s Knebworth festivals. Great read.

As Frank Sinatra used to say Something is the greatest Lennon/McCartney song ever written.

Yes, I think most of the evening specialist presenters are DJ’s with an interest in music. It seems to me R2 has been cursed with the cult of personalities with no personality for their daytime content.

Only got to see Genesis once at Roundhay Park Leeds on the Invisible Touch Tour 1987.
I saw Yes Twice at Newcastle City Hall - 1997 Open Your Eyes Tour with Igor Koroshev on keys. Then a few years later with Benoit on vocals which was disappointing really. Would have loved to have seen them in the 70s but never got the opportunity.

After a day spent ripping CD’s from my classical collection, a job I’ve been avoiding for months, thought I’d play this copy of Die Zauberflote this morning. Owned it for a long time and never played it. Always go for the Neville Marriner version I’ve owned for years.
It’s actually excellent.

Thanks for taking the time to take a picture of what you are playing…

BUT, for someone who wrote so much about your many system changes in the last year, is it really that hard to write the artist / title of the LP you are listening to?

We have some visually challenged forum members, even including blind who use screen readers - so your post tells them absolutely nothing.

Please make the effort, it’s not that time consuming or hard.
