Likewise. In any event AI suggests that it should be available on Qobuz tomorrow. :folded_hands::crossed_fingers:

Deep Purple. Machine head.

Sometimes you just have to reach for the classic rock and bathe yourself in familiar riffs.

Summer Hits: The 1980’s

Playlist from Qobuz, something a bit upbeat whilst working. Another warm day here in the UK.

A few of years ago when in Oporto with my then ANC Bluetooth headphones Sennheiser Mo’ 4’s, I recalled that the Jon Darko YT video that convinced me to buy them featured him using them while strolling around Berlin and saying they were his “go to” headphones for doing just that.

I thought I’d give it a go and yes! It was a thing. Very entertaining walking around a strange city and hearing nothing but the musical accompaniment, a bit like being inside my own VR video. Looking around, I realised, as I spotted them, there were other people doing exactly the same thing. I felt like I had become part of a properly niche secret sub-culture.

Since changing to some Levinson 5909’s (better Codec, lossless with a cable if I want it), I’ve discovered a couple of creatives to add to the one I was listening to back then. At home, I’ll often keep “Soma FM” locked if I need background sounds and have picked up on some electronica that I find is the perfect kind of music for “Ear Walking":

“Spunkshine”

“Four Tet” (two albums)

and just today, “Kick Bong”.

Next time you fancy a stroll around the neighbourhood, slip on the ‘phones and give it a go.

Picked this up earlier today at an antiques emporium type place. A bit of a bargain at a tenner for the SACD I thought. Time to retire the red book cd

The Rolling Stones - Big Hits ( High Tide And Green Grass ), on it’s release, a superb collection of classic singles, amongst other songs.
