So, what’s wrong with Audible? It’s fully featured with downloads & a simplified car mode. Easy bt play to headphones, or decent bt speakers.
It stops me listening to music while I read a book / kindle.
I’ve only just got used to podcasts whilst driving.

Audible is wonderful when Morpheus has gone a ‘wandering at 3am.
I can either read or listen. Too old to multi task.
You need the version with Dylan Thomas reading the First Voice (live). He was still churning out pages in the afternoon before the performance.
After reading and enjoying very much 18 short stories by Heinrich Boll, two of his books on a loan from a distant library since our local one does not carry any of his works.
Finished another draft of my writing project, so time for some more serious reading, or re-reading in this case - “Light in August” my first Faulkner novel, read about 50 years ago. And I remember nothing about it.

Coming across this book and discovering the works of Ryan Holiday was a rewarding moment (I don’t want to say “godsend”, because that would not quite make sense).
I pretty much have been reading the daily entry of this book everyday for 2 years now. 5-10 mins to kickstart the day and reflect. It’s a never ending journey to acceptance, discipline, calmness and -hopefully- wisdom.
