Sorry, it wasn’t meant as a direct reply to Igel.
I have a pair of stand mounted Focal Sopra1 driven by my Uniti Star through TQ Ultra Silver speaker cable, works beautiful for my ears. I guess Uniti Nova would obviously be much better
Using Iotas in a bedroom system. Really quite good as long as you can be about 15-20 cm from the rear wall.
Although the first ones the BBC deployed were used in outside broadcast vans, some of those were Transit size, not a lot of room for free space location.
Do you know at this stage whether the speakers will be on stands, or actually on a shelf? Most small speakers, while categorised as bookshelf speakers, really need stands to perform at anything like their best.
@jtang - I have been very pleased with my pair of Proac Tablette 10 run from a NAP140.
@SRO -
Lovely looking setup! What are those stands?
Stands are Isoacoustics 130. I had some Tab 10 Signatures I found the best stands used on a shelf for those were granite plates used in some industrial applications. Not expensive but very heavy and really brought the best of the Tab 10s out for me anyway.
How would you compare iotas and Tabs for sound when close to the wall?
Nice! I think i need to look at getting something like this. I currently have a thick slate tile under one speaker and a collection of hard backed cookery books under the other
I think they are both amazing speakers. The Tab 10s are special in what they do and hard to beat in a close to rear wall environment with the right equipment. However the Iotas I think are something very special too, maybe be a tad more 'alive" but not as refined as the Tab 10s. It would be hard for me to choose between the two if I was purchasing right now.
No suggestions yet for Linn Majik 109s? As I understand it, Linn make wall brackets for them, which suggests thar being really close to the wall can work.
If they are really to be placed on a shelf, i.e. between books or records, the Devore Orangutan micr/o is IMHO the best solution. Not quite cheap, but well worth the money. Sounds much bigger than it is. Fits well with the Atom, but economically an overkill. Anyway, don‘t know if it is a good match with the Nova.
A good place to start — presumably these are well priced on their home turf, and might also be widely available “pre-loved”.
Never seen that Naim/Linn commercial.
Must have been from before Linn released their LK1/2.
Not an ad. This looks like it came from a series that ran in The Flat Response.
I have a naughty mind: I thought that it might be implying that Naim were about to screw Linn over!
I still use P3ESRs with a UnitiLite as a second system. It’s an excellent pairing in my opinion. But I love the Harbeth sound.

In addition, I demo’d the ATCs at home (a bit “dry” in my room), the Proac Tab 10 Signatures (shouty in my room) and finally the Neat Iota Alphas - they were a keeper and constantly amaze me. They are a cracking pair of speakers.
