What does a Naim factory service and DR upgrade actually consist of?

Can anyone confirm what is actually done and whether the fettled unit is effectively as new?

I have met conflicting opinions ranging from ‘they slide the old sled out and replace with new so the only thing unchanged is the case and transformer’ to 'they fit new DR modules and replace some capacitors ’

what specific product are you referring to?

Specifically the NAP 300.

Best person for the definitive answer is @NeilS

On a 300 the entire amp modules are replaced in the head unit including the heatsinks.
The service part is the reservoir capacitors in the power supply.

Neil.
