Felt the need for something silly last night so:
A really interesting documentary about Bob Weir. He comes across as a pretty good guy.
Great film - the year 1971, the girl Trish Van Devere, the car BMW 503 cabriolet and the locations Andalusia.
Excellent film. Newman reprised the role of Harper in the 1975 film Drowning Pool - well worth viewing.
Seen it, it’s ok but not as good as Harper.
This week, this seemed to be apt. Great film and great bass. Can’t beat a quality bass on the right film.
Decent 1965 sci-fi disaster flick with good (for the time) FX and a classy cast - Dana Andrews, Kieron Moore, Alexander Knox and the lovely Jannette Scott.
Scientist Stephen Sorenson (Andrews) leads an international team looking to generate endless free energy from magma by detonating an A-bomb 10 miles underground. Sorenson, however, has terminal cancer and rushes through the detonation despite the worries of his colleague Ted Rampion (Moore). In doing so, he sets off a catastrophic series of eruptions and earthquakes, opening up a vast ocean trench that threatens to destroy the world as we know it.
Can disaster be averted? Despite an over-reliance on stock footage (lava, atomic explosions, etc) the direction, cast and story are credible enough to keep you watching to find out.
From 2003, this might be the best music video I have ever seen - some stunning footage and performances here…
Sounds great going through the stereo via the Oppo too.
Better than I expected and funny. Interesting to hear an American do quite a decent British accent!
@anon56864344 without spoiling things did you see that the the guy in the end with the gun is also the guy in the carriage at the beginning in the opening sequences as Carter is travelling up North. Inference being they had him marked from the start.
