What is your earliest Naim kit?

No - a few such bits and bobs adhered to me as I left. The original knobs are not very robust and prone to splitting.

CB NAC32 and SNAPS boxed up in the loft. Around 1983/4 iirc.

@Richard.Dane @Adam.Meredith

The NAP120 is constructed very strangely.
Was it originally intended to be built in to an active speaker maybe…?

You are good until 2027 to 2029, according to Naim’s recommendations (8 to 10 years for all older kit).

Yes, the first version was essentially just as it would have been used in a powered speaker project that never came to anything. The second version looked more like it had been designed as a stand alone amp.

Be careful, danger! Don’t turn the button on left or right.!

Red balance. Naim notice. 1971.

In 1984 I bought a preloved bolt down 250 from a friend (SN 2046). Had some provenance as it was featured in the previous owner’s “readers system” in one of the old hifi mags. Now in the collection of Tom Tom complete with a copy of the article.

My oldest piece of Naim equipment is my most recently acquired, my Nat 01. Also happens to be my most played.

It was 30 years for the first service, so I thought 30 years for the next…

May not matter to me anyway, I will need more than a service to make the next 30 years…

I have Naim in most my rooms . My Dining Room has NAC 22 / Ser 0157 with NAP 120 Ser 0962. This little beauty is playing all day everyday. I’m partial to this equipment due to its musicality along with its simplicity and age. Julian created equipment that is hard to define other than to say absolutely wonderful in every way.

Two 5metre lengths of NACA4 that were used between our Meridian 101/103D and Isobariks. I don’t know when NACA4 was introduced, but we bought the Briks in June 1984, and I knocked up the cables at that time.

Our oldest unit is, I believe, a NAT03 from 1993 (s/n = 90xxx).

Amusingly, the NAT03, Meridian amp, and NACA4 are all still in use, in my wife’s craft room.

Nac-12 (originally four sheets of metal with low S/N - upgraded by the factory in 2000 to match their production line version that was being used to ‘sound test’ Nac-52s & S/N re,oved) + 2 x Nap-160s (bolt-down).

We have a Nac12 and Nap 120 in the loft (with original knobs), not functioning unfortunately. I suspect it wouldn’t be cheap to get them up and running again…
