What is your earliest Naim kit?

Not wishing to derail another thread, I thought it might be interesting to know what the oldest Naim component that forum members have.
My Nait is an early red LED amp with the smooth plastic volume knob.
Serial number is 3012 making it a 1982 vintage.
Still sounds sweet.

My sister loves her 1985 red light Nait. I have yet to hear it, post service. Looking forward to it.

My own oldest is a serviced 2002 NAT05. Also ‘red light’. Glorious.

Earliest I have is an early NAC12 that has gone through a few updates by Naim over the years.

My first bit of Naim kit was a 42/110 bought in the early 80s.
Currently, my earliest bit of kit is a Star in the second system.

Nac52/Supercap. And it’s going nowhere!

My SBLs and Supercap are both from '95. I do have a pair of '87 SBLs that are in storage.

Glad to see that I’m not the only one with early 80’s equipment.

NAC 12 and bolt down 160 - serviced a couple of times by Naim, still in use, and sounding great - even have original boxes and paperwork :grinning:

(Last used in 1993 before upgrading to NACA5)

Very early NAC 12N circa ‘75 and still in use.

Get good money for that but there’s always the hassle factor.

22/120 from the late seventies, bought from Studio 99. 78 or 79 (see other thread on chrome bumper Naim).

Probably worth more now pre-owned than what they cost when new :upside_down_face:

I still have my Chrome Bumper NAP 250 from around 1986. It’s had a few services, but hasn’t been used for 6 or 7 years so will need another. In the back of my mind I’ve a half formed plan to snag myself a used 272 and set up a very fine second system, but currently don’t really have anywhere in the house to locate it…

Are you sure it will need another service if not being used 6-7 years?

When has that ever stopped any of us :joy:
