Gaerea : Loss
I am really enjoying the 3 early release tracks from this one by Portugals finest Black/Death/proggy metal band Gaerea. Moving from the independent Season Of Mist label to the major metal label that is Century Media doesn’t seem to be harming their creativity.
Listening to this has also lead me to a greater appreciation of their earlier albums. Roll on March 20th
Style Council 's Café Bleu as a Special Edition Vinyl Box Set with previously unreleased material, including early demos, alternate takes, and unreleased songs. Will be released on January 30, 2026.
Unfortunately a c*** up in manufacturing something to do with putting a track on the original Cafe Bleu in the box set has meant release is put back until May. Bummer!

The above order was for my brother I have an order on Amazon from Nov 7th which now says cannot display status and Amazon have it listed as currently unavailable so we tried Chalkys Uk who have sold out so it looks as though some may have gone out.
I’ve been listening to the Tidal stream of the Cafe Bleu box set and the demo’s, unreleased section is fantastic if you are a fan you are in for a real treat. Can’t wait.
There is a copy on eBay already up to £137 so I’d keep that sealed and buy another copy later.
That’s really interesting, and I haven’t received such information from Amazon. Since I’m not sure whether Universal will be able to provide so many replacement products for this faulty pressing, I’ll keep my (still sealed) box set and wait for the new box sets in May.

An album which should have been their first but was never released. Squeeze - Trixies. A concept album apparently.
Bruce Soord | Ghosts In The Park | Releases May 15 2026
“Written over a two-year period while Soord was touring extensively with The Pineapple Thief, the album emerged in hotel rooms, unfamiliar cities, and moments of enforced solitude. Against this backdrop, Soord was navigating the drawn-out decline and eventual death of his father, alongside the continued progression of his mother’s Alzheimer’s. These experiences form the emotional spine of Ghosts In The Park - grief in motion, memory surfacing unpredictably, and the quiet determination to keep moving forward.”…
