Ultravox’s 1984 best of compilation The Collection sold over 2 million copies worldwide, upon release, including 3x platinum in the UK. It gathers the band’s first 14 singles released between 1980 and 1984. most notable tracks including the iconic Vienna, anti-nuclear war anthem Dancing With Tears In My Eyes, new wave classic All Stood Still, along with Hymn, The Voice and Reap The Wild Wind and the single recorded for this compilation, Love’s Great Adventure.

The album has been newly remastered from the original production tapes and cut at half-speed by AIR Mastering. This new edition of the album has been made into a double album (the original was a single LP) for optimal audio fidelity.

Format: 2LP heavyweight black vinyl housed in a dye cut sleeve with 4-page insert with an interchangeable cover image.

Three of the first four NO albums released on BRDA, with various mixes (inc Atmos) done by one S. Wilson. A pity that the multitrack masters for PC&L are missing because that’s my favourite of these early albums.

I’ve been really enjoying this, there are a lot of nice nuances to each track that add a more depth and emotion to the studio versions.
