What was the last bit of gear you bought in 2023?

I have to say I’m not experiencing any problems so far but many thanks for the heads up!

These Acer machines are quite nice to use, this is my first one, i normally go for HP, but this one has an aluminium lid, back-lit keyboard, 8GB RAM and 1TB of SSD storage. Also grabbed an Acer DVD/CD drive all for just under £600. Mainly being used for ripping and doing course work. So far ‘touch wood’ it has performed excellently.

Looks like a different hinge type - they’ve probably changed it so fingers crossed you’ll be ok - on mine as you open it up the hinge comes down slightly to act as rear feet and put a slight angle on the keyboard if that makes sense. As a computer- I couldn’t fault it for the money - just waiting for the repair to be done.

I upgraded all my cables with Superconductor cabling from CERN. My wife is not very happy.

A bit early to form a true opinion on sound quality as its only had a couple of hours of use but it happily drives the rega rs1s it is paired with to a room filling volume without sounding harsh. Build-wise, i noticed the rear panel is a little flexible while connecting it up and the volume control only uses the first 90 degrees of the dial which is confusing initially. Love the form factor though as it fits the intended location perfectly.

Sorry, I was joking. My bad sense of humour.

You’ve got me wishing that I’d lined up the writing on the plugs as neatly as yours before dressing the cables :flushed:

Now that you mention it, it does look neat, but I think I was lining up the directional arrows mostly , maybe OCD?
