What was the last bit of gear you bought in 2024?

Diamonds are the boys best friends?

No but I will. I’ve got the head band taped up to stop them from falling apart as well and my ear pads leave bits of black stuff all over the place. Last set of ear pads were via eBay and took about 2 months to arrive.

Damn horrible quality and absolutely no after sales service, what makes me mad is I could have bought any headphones. Cheers.

I think that once production stopped the chances of them keeping the remaining stock of spares was quite small,

Oppo made a major decision to rip up the reputation they had made in the audio industry and go for mobile :iphone: phones instead

A shame as I never read a bad review of them

Best wishes

Very nice

Astell & Kern Ultra with their CD ripper. This will enable me to play my CD collection as well as listen upstairs and when away. The player sounds fine with my Focal Clears which I don’t use with my Atom HE now I’ve ZMF Verite. Happy so far.

The Chord Company GroundARAY RJ45 Signal Ground plug.

Tried it and it made no difference, so it went back.

What is the point of this thing?

This;

A friend of mine has ten of them in his 500 system, overall it has meant a lower noise floor system according to him.

Seems like snake oil to me.

My dealer loaned me some similar devices to plug into my AC outlets. Nordost QRT AC Enhancers and AC Line Harmonizers. At first I didn’t think they made a difference, but once I listened more carefully I realized they made things worse.

When I took them back the dealer admitted that can happen. I think they might not sell them any more.

Why not just hook it up to the TV , it must have HDMI ?

They do, but I picked up the RJ45 version at a very good price, so I thought that I’d give it a go.

If it worked fine. If not, it goes back and no harm done.

No, it’s not snake oil, they are undeniably doing something, I’ve heard that myself, but then whether it’s something you like and want to buy and have in your system is another question.

I hardly listen to it these days, but I just bought one of those blue silicone belts for my LP12… at £20, I thought it was worth a punt…

A pair of used Powerlines for use with my Uptone eR switch and Naim Core. The digital source needs all the help it can be given to try to get it closer to the LP12.

Apart Chord, Furutech and Nordost are selling very similar products as the Groundarrays.
I doubt these reputated brands, specialised in electrical components, will try to rob your money, as many other products from them are well established since many many years.
It’s just that you may like or not what they do in your particular environment.

I tried for example the wooden Entreq boxes. I can’t deny that they worked. The sound was cleaner and clearer. But unfortunately less involving on my system.
