At the end of last year I decided to give spotify a try on the QB mk1.
The app couldn’t connect, even though trouble shooting indicated the connection was good and it was possible to stream radio using presets on QB.
On the other hand I use a £40 roku TV streaming dongle. It streams every TV streaming services, plus at least 30 other apps/live TV. Phone App loads instantly, never fails to connect to device, voice search works perfectly, streaming never buffers and never had to switch it off then switch it on again.

This seems to happen an awful lot now. People just post pictures of something and assume everyone knows what the eff it is. Come on people, is it so hard to just note what you posted a picture of? It takes like 10 seconds, right?
There should be a rule for this thread that everyone does that.

Thank you. And it’s not just you. Seems to happen a lot now. Like with the REL six-pack of subs above. I still don’t know if they are S/550, S/850 or Carbon Special Black Label.

Hi JDP, hope you’re enjoying the new Dac on day 2. I know Classical music is your main genre, but for giggles, give this song a try. I am curious how the six pack of Rels handle the deep bass.

The deepest bass notes on this song rattle my old windows in the back of the room (as does the 16Hz Hz organ note on the DG Classics TOS reissue of Strauss Also Sprach Zarathustra) but I don’t get the point of it here. The song would be better without, IMO.

I thought it might be a little much, on my simple DB7’s, the song is quite enjoyable. Not too often you hear a guys voice that goes that deep. Maybe The Fairfield Four would be close.
Yeah, the guy has a pretty deep bass voice. He would be great for an ensemble singing Johannes Ockeghem motets.
I’m still dialing in my six-pack, and once my DAC breaks in my dealer will be back to help fine tune the six-pack position and tuning. Those windows might always rattle with high output ultra sub bass. Eventually we’re moving it all to the first floor in the living room, which has about 60% more area, and I think better windows. LOL
I wonder what frequency that bass is on your song? On the Strauss vinyl reissue I mentioned someone in the Netherlands measured it at 16.4 Hz.

We rebuilt my teen years home my parents bought in 1989. I will retire here. So, I took the opportunity to include a hifi room while my wife gets a theatre room.
Covid years took a long time to complete. Moved in last April but only managed to get the listening room set up end Dec / early Jan. Pre & power amps are on loan from the dealer. I will get the latest TAD pre & monos after CNY in March.
