They’ve been amazing for me and I have a very similar system to yours that they have helped me curate - I hope the new speakers do as well as the pair are have did in my room and system…
I have to make a decision in the next day or two, but I have an offer to buy a pair of Dynaudio Contour Legacy from my dealer at a steep discount. Dynaudio is leaving the N.A. market and my dealer bought the last four pair they had left. Two are already sold. One was opened for demo by another dealer. I have a cash offer to take that pair, or I can get the other, sealed & unopened pair for $500 more.
They recently delivered a pair to a customer with Confidence C4 Platinum and said their jaws dropped when they realized the C4s do nothing better than the Contour Legacy. I have the baby brother Confidence C2 Platinum.
The speakers are from another dealer this time. However, Criterion have supplied all of my Burmester items together with current speakers. They are certainly a first class dealer with great support.
The YG are ‘like new’ ex demo at an extremely good price. Yesterday the system really came ‘on song’ so looking forward to today and tomorrow listening sessions.
I can’t believe the difference from 3 days ago. It’s basically taken 3 days for everything to settle down and put current through everything.
In a similar vein, Reiki Audio who make the Superswitch Pro X also offer the option of decoupling feet - in their case, from Stack Audio. I tried them in my set-up, and found that it did offer improvements over the standard feet, even though the switch and power supply were already situated on an isolation platform. Greater realism of vocals and clearer retrieval of low level detail in the mix were the two main benefits I experienced.
Always worth mentioning to Mike what plans you have as he’s many a time found a way to make the numbers stack up really well with his own demonstration kit..
The Burmester has been a real change from Naim for me - simple set-up, wire minimalism, beautiful casework and a pre amplifier with a stupendously good and completely configurable phono stage on board. The 218 power amplifier has huge grip and control over the YG Ascents too, no more heat at all really…

Unfortunately I missed their demo pair of Talus, so a new pair with a decent discount comes no way near the deal offered to me at this time. I suppose the gods are smiling at present.
I cannot believe how low the Talus reaches. Double Bass is incredible together with cello. I’m very surprised
Hi @Homeworks thanks for the tip. I haven’t had any experience with Stack Audio yet. However, there are many positive reviews here on the forum, and they offer direct shipping with a return option. I’ve had very good experiences with Isoacoustics Gaia III and Aperta under my speakers. I didn’t have a good experience with Isopucks under my components, so I sold them. Stack Audio may be an option.
