What was the last bit of gear you bought in 2026?

And bigger room and bigger amp.

As of now, you posted this question only 5 hours ago - did you go ahead and buy the Nordost qKore 1 ?

Yes.. got it and now testing the system. Instead of grounding all boxes, the nordost concept is different . Grounding the power distribution instead .
Cleanses all my boxes

Curious what you will find. What made you consider grounding? Or in other words… how can one know there is a grounding “issue” in a system? May your worries are groundless

Talked to a few dealers , read how grounding box can do to hifi , and finding out what it can achieved, beside safety passage of current, it’s more like detoxing.
Had a demo just now at my dealer side with and without the qkore, the difference is very obvious

What I experienced now at home , 30 mins of listening , and going on now, more details , more depth , more spot on image of instruments, vocals, more low, and very very clean sound. Very very low floor noise . It’s like I purify the signals even more, and more organised.

Are you sure about that? I tried one of these years ago and try as I might to convince myself it was better, it simply was very minimal at best.

I returned it after a few weeks of demo.

Spend your money elsewhere is my advice.

Yup I am very sure . Enjoying the uplifting now  as I mentioned , the qkore doesn’t do the conventional grounding of Individual box, it goes in to the qbase . The picture I sent showed how it’s been hooked up

This little gizmo from Angela Gilbert Yeung costs $135 dollars that I use now. Clearly audible noise reduction, and measurable noise reduction with a voltage meter.

I know what the Qkore costs, snake oil to my ears.

Let me guess, the dealer was smiling and nodding as soon as he plugged it in?

Nope, he wasn’t , I was the one who initiate the product, an impromptu action. And it’s a very good authentic piece of gear . And I love what it’s doing to my system. Cloud nine :flexed_biceps:t2: I been owning nordost products and they are good , to my liking and my system. And am very happy getting this qkore, more coming , next will be the qsource and more Valhallas coming

Wow, ok you are really getting drunk off the Nordost coolaid. Good luck with your new toy.

But are you sure the dynamics and Prat are the same? Put back without it later and see.

I did without qkore first and put on the qkore after the sane song.. this is what I gather -
Very very quiet , more low, better imaging , better soundstage performance, more details as it’s more liw noise . The dynamic are more controlled and precise . The pray stays on , and I find that it has a better timing .and it’s sweeter and not that “edgy” , somehow more rounded . The vocal, gets to you and retracts in a sweeter pace. So far that’s what I experienced . It’s not snake oil , it does what it’s built for . Compared to without it at first . As I run in more, says 50 hrs, then I can more or less tell its character .
One thing it’s very obvious- it’s very quiet,

Already got the Qnet for 10 months or so . Forgotten when I got it. The q source , been a power supply to Qnet ,think it does assist the Qnet . Haven’t go into that yet . One at a time .

I also owned Dyn confidence C1 MK11’s around ten years ago now. The money you spent on the Qkore system, you could have upgraded to the new Confidence 20’s, or probably better yet, the Contour Legacy speakers…for a real significant upgrade.

I never cared for the C1’s, the bass seemed weird sounding and the woofers popped when turned up loud.

Try playing:Lose Yourself to Dance by Daft Punk

at 95 DB’s with the C1’s to see what I mean about the woofer popping.

I have many priorities in my system ,
one at a time . And so far it suits and serve me very well the c1 signature , and I am not looking at dynaudio speakers anymore. And it suits my music genre .

How can you be so glowing about your system and yet make so many constant changes? Your posts give me anxiety and your dealer must love you.

I not making changes , I am adding new stuffs to enhance what I already have.. you can see my boxes stays put for past 2 years. I like to add to enhance better my system, not changing them.
And I like trying new stuffs . And if it’s benefits my system without altering the sound signature that I build up, I will go for it
