Not going to happen (well at least not this generation!)
Spending a lot of time listening to vinyl as well so the LP12 is due some attention next…
It never ends!

Latest purchase, replacing a set of Audiovector cables. Still early days but liking them so far - well balanced, detailed and open.
My last 3 purchases this year, vas a Naim NDX 2, an Audioquest Hurricane power cable and an Hurricane Source Power Cable.
The NDX 2 is my first Naim product, maybe next year I have a listen to a Supernait 3 if it goes well with the sopra n1 could be my next upgrade.
I’ll turn the sub off for a bit and see (hear) what that does.
My 200dr took about 6 weeks to stop doing that. Since then it’s just been a steady improvement. Just love it!!
With moon 340i as int. amplifier, correct?
Actually it’s now the Moon 600i v2 integrated
Good as the 340i was, it left me slightly underwhelmed (coming from 200/202/HiCap) so decided on a quick upgrade! No regrets, it’s a fabulous amp; more laid back than Naim but with air, soundstage and headroom in spades. Still have 200/202/Napsc in the home office, and still enjoying that very much, too.
It’s only the first couple of hours, but it’s sounding fantastic. One of the first tracks I listened to was Madeleine Peyroux singing “Dance me to the end of love”, and it honestly sounded as if she was in the room. The separation between the instruments was a level of sharpness I’ve never heard before either.
The volume pot does have the common 252 balance problem at low volume, but I’ll have a chat with my dealer and see if there are any options on that front.
First impressions; very impressed (and pleased)
Thank you!
Did you try other brands before choosing the Moon int. amplifier?
Ps: do you consider your office system the main one?
David
What power amp are you using @JonoB? I recently moved to a used 252 in place of a SN2 and it’s simply a stunning pre-amp.
I’ve got a 250DR. I’m really enjoying it, but bought a 300 on a punt which I’ll hopefully have in 3-4 weeks. It’ll be interesting to see how differently the two amps drive my SL2’s.
Yes, I auditioned a few others, including the Rega Aethos (quite good but runs very warm, which I don’t like, and from a looks point of view I wasn’t too keen on the plexi part of the front). I also listened to the Copland CSA-100 and -150, which are also great amps.
Whether the office system or the living room system is the main one is a good question. I’d say both. Initially the office system started out as a modest supplement to the living room one with some small wall-mounted System Audio speakers and a second hand NAD integrated and CD player. I don’t recall the exact sequence but various upgrades then involved Audiovector speakers and a Nait 5si and when getting back into vinyl a Rega RP3 was replaced by the LP12 Akurate and a Supernait 2 (which was replaced by a 202/200DR due to hum issues with the Supernait that neither I or my dealer could get rid of). The office system was my most used system for a few years while the CD5XS/Flatcap based system in the living room (200/202/Hicap/Napsc) didn’t get much use apart from playing via Sonos when having friends over. However, when deciding to get a P8 for the living room system things changed and I began listening to music in the living room again. Feeling the need for a change and wanting to simplify the system by moving from four boxes (which, being 10 years old, were nearing their service interval) to a single integrated amp I ended up with the Moon (340i, then 600i v2). Happy with where I’m at but considering some larger speakers as my Audiovector S3 are a little bass light for our large living room.
That was my short answer …
Thank you!
2x smoke grey 440mm x 320mm x 10mm, polished all around, toughened glass panels (made locally)
6x Naim cups and balls (flown from UK to Oz in a metal bird over the oceans)
Just bought Topping’s latest D90SE DAC. Supposedly the best measured DAC in the market, but how will it sound? Lets see…

‘What was the last bit of gear you bought?’
‘last’…hahaha.

Looks stunning!
