Hi Thomas
A wonderful treat you organized for the holidays
Enjoy and do not forget to make a comparison (independent of course) between the new and the “old”
Been a while since I bought it, but finally have gotten it all connected properly - a Rega P5 with Neo PSU, AT-VM95SH cartridge and Rega Fono MM. Only the cart is new but the rest are new to me, and I am really enjoying being reacquainted with vinyl after a 5 year hiatus!
That sounds insane but I wonder how much a combined 552/PS/500 weighs. I assume it replaces all of them?
The Soulution 711 isn’t an integrated.
It’s a power amp, just like the Nap 500.
If you add the matching preamplifier to the Soulution 711, you’re scratching the 100Kg
Eek!
Hurry up and get it set up. We need to see this monster.
I wish I had the time to do it now… It’ll have to wait a week or two.
My evenings a dedicated to my daughter, wife or climbing.
Answering the forum’s messages only takes me a few seconds or a couple of minutes now and then during the day.
But I really look forward to having it installed
Have had the Morgana in for an hour or so between my 272/555PSDR/300DR/Lumin U1 Mini. Wow, just wow! Great update as many of you have already said! Thanks forum and members for helping out in this jungle of products
An NDX2, three days ago.
ND555 and another PS to replace my NDS.
I wasn’t planning on changing my NDS as very happy, but with the recent price increase I thought I jump on a opportunity for buying nearly new and also throwing in an additional PS.
However, I’m now spoilt for choice as the LP12 cry’s out to be listened to as well!
The Kef LS50 Meta’s were a random purchase that has proved hugely successful in my system, going to be joined by their little punchy cousin, the KC-62, should prove interesting.
Mine will be in black, but picture looks better in white.

The 2Go/2Yu only ‘sprouts’ cables on three sides… admittedly it isn’t a “top-shelf item”
Here 2Go/2Yu with its Farad Super3 5v PSU sitting discretely in a middle shelf, mainly used as a UPnP server to my DCS NB, as well as this I use 2Go portable with my Hugo2. I use MConnectHD as the control app when playing direct from the 2Go to a DAC.
I am getting a SRC-DX to try the USB out/BNC in (to DAVE) next week.
I’ve been having a bit of a nightmare with hum on the phono input. I noticed it a bit with my Planar 8 but since getting the 10 it seemed to get worse. Maybe I was listening louder, maybe it’s more sensitive, I don’t know. It just didn’t seem as clear as it should at normal listening volume. It’s hard to know what’s my hearing and what’s the stereo, but after turning up the volume to nearly full and getting really loud hum I tried moving the deck about, sitting it on a cardboard box to work out how far from the amplifier it need to be, which turned out to be quite a distance. There was only one solution, and that was a wall bracket, which I really didn’t want. But I’ve got it, installed it and bloody hell, what a difference. I think I’m now starting to hear how extraordinarily good my new turntable really is. It looks a bit crap but sounds absolutely great. It’s easier to change records too. Rega say that their little bracket is the best support for their decks and they are probably not wrong. £169 and a couple of hours work well spent I’d say. Hopefully I’ll get used to the looks.
Will look even better with trunking to hide the cables.if you sand it slightly then you can paint it and it will blend in nicely.
Yes, I’ve had a quick look for some sort of fabric wrap. I don’t want to fix trunking to the wall and certainly wouldn’t want to paint the wires. At least it mirrors my dangly speaker cables!
A combination of a MM cart ( lots of windings to pick up stray magnetic field of the amp ) and a TT that has little inherent shielding.
Those Rega wall mounts are great. Remember when my box turned up, thought it was empty. They are light.
Glad you added the red arrow, didn’t spot the P10!
This may be a silly question, but are MCs less liable to pick up hum? There was no hum when I tried it with just the amp, but now I’ve added the streamer and tuner the hum is back, but not as bad as before. I disconnect them and even turn them off but the hum doesn’t change. It’s really weird. I’m probably doing to borrow another turntable just to be doubly sure it’s not an issue with mine. Anyway, other than they question I won’t pursue it here as it’s going off topic a bit.
Nigel. make sure those collars on the locking RCA Phonos are done up really tight. If not, the result is hummmmmm…
Ahh ok that’s new information. So now with other sources connected / disconnected the hum level changes. This would indicate a ground loop issue, where more than 1 source is internally grounded to the mains earth. Perhaps a call to your dealer for some local help resolving the issue
