What was the last CD you bought

Bought ‘used like new’ from the ‘bay….

And it was, sounding fabulous from the Core rip. Off to Barsoom for an hour or so .

I have recently discovered Diana Krall and am so pleased.

I am suffering from sensory issues that make loud noises and music somewhat difficult.

A lot of Ms Krall and Frank Sinatra over the Christmas period

Try her Live in Paris if not already, spesh on shmcd….

Great. Have you tried Madeleine Peyroux or Eva Cassidy? I suspect they may suit you as well

Eva Cassidy is a favourite, especially the Acoustic album

I don’t know Madeline Peyroux

Also a newer artist - Laufey

If you like a bit of chanteuse vocal, try Gabi Hartmann (achingly beautiful voice) and the unbelievably overlooked Chantal Chamberland (she has a few albums in her catalogue, I suspect Dripping Indigo and Temptation would make good starters, then you’ll want to go through the rest).

Thank you, I listened to Madeleine Peyroux yesterday based on the recommendation from @MarkL3w very good

Slowly getting there. My problem is with noise , I didn’t listen to any music for some time after the “incident” and I cannot listen to big orchestral pieces.

I nearly passed out on Christmas Day in church with the sound of the organ.

I left quietly, (unlike the organ)

Thank you, I have sensory issues following a stroke, but I am very grateful that these are the worst of possible issues.

Had a haircut, then afterward (like you do) found myself wandering into Fopp, and bought these two:

Sunn 0)) Metta/Benevolence
Southern Lord

Prince Far I
Cry Freedom DUB
TWD Records.
(A tribute album of mostly instrumental dubs. The Prince only vocalises on two tracks. Still a goody.)

I’ve been chasing a new copy of this great album for a few years, finally I managed to have one at a reasonable price.
