Classic! Amazing pressing and music speaks for itself.
Sharon Van Etten is the 1st one, paid £12! Very well recorded, seem to be able to turn the volume up as high as you like. Both Nala Sinephro albums are excellent too, bought from Bleep in a bundle offer.
On the way in to work, popped into Sister Ray on the RSD offchance. Success!
The Doors
Live In Detroit
4 LP box.
Yummy. Wonder how it’ll sound compared to my CD set.
Managed to snag the one and only copy my local shop had. I was amazed he still had it at lunchtime when I called in. Should keep me happy while I’m waiting for my Rhino box to arrive (UK)
NEVER-BEFORE-RELEASED!
BILL EVANS IN NORWAY IN 1970 “THE KONGSBERG CONCERT”
Deluxe limited edition 180-Gram Gatefold 2-LP Set
RSD2024 release.
My die-hard vinyl collector friend was at the store yesterday and picked one up for me, too.
Just snagged a copy of the Evans to be sent by mail. Worth getting up for 8am today to get it. Also managed to get the Charles Tolliver at a half-way sensible price and this one as a 3LP set -
This year now done !
How does the Emily Remler sound?
To be received by mail so likely later next week when I get it. Reports I’ve heard are that is in good sound.
King Jammy - King Jammy’s Unites the Nations With Dub, King Jammy’s (2024)
An OAP Jammy can still produce brilliant dub music A1.
Thanks for the reply keep us updated.
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers; The Live Anthology 7LP Set from 2009.
Only RSD purchase
On the recommendation of @Dynaudio1 I managed to order a copy of this triple LP from Rough Trade. This was an RSD release and none of the record shops around here were stocking it. I’ve now got both the LP and the CD on order. I’d better stop before my wife checks the credit card statement.
Black Friday deal… arrived here today via Amazon
Both cleaned on the RCM, visual inspection good except ‘The Kicker’ has a very slight but noticeable dish-warp. Probably not bad enough to affect play but not nice to look at and expect perfection of a tone poet
Deleted by me… wrong thread
Great that you got a copy - I was amazed that Rough Trade still had it in stock.
Looking forward to all of these but especially the Charles Tolliver. That one, from a CBC Edmonton broadcast (as with the Pepper Adams from the same label) is a real find.
