It’s good to try these things, if only to then know that what you have already is actually the right thing for you. I’ve always thought that Linn’s power cartridges at only 50W are a bit weedy for a speaker like the Kudos. My little speakers have two 100W amplifiers in each, and they work brilliantly and sound just as Naimy as when driven by Naim power amps. Just as Naimy but a damn sight better. And that’s with Class D. Maybe PMC are better at it than Linn.

The power cartridges date back to 2018 (I think), and my reaction to 50wpc was similar to your own, a bit feeble, even with two installed configured for active operation. On asking wasn’t it about time for a 2nd generation, I was informed nothing in the pipeline that we know of, but, not to worry, Linn will always offer a trade in/up.
Also, when you look at how the cartridges are designed/installed, I’m not that sure there’s the available real estate for a more powerful option, say 100wpc, particularly in terms of heat dissipation. It might also require a further upgrade to the unit’s psu…?
At which point, bearing in mind the sound hadn’t actually seized me my the throat, it was time to be content with the NC 200 
.

If you can’t be content with something as good as the NC200 set of three, then something is probably wrong.

I think you can fit up to three 50w power amp modules for active operation, which ought to produce more heat than a single 100w module, so might be more to it than a heat dissipation or space issue.

No new HiFi purchases in 2025, but I have managed to significantly upgrade the sound of every component in my system recently. Not cheap, but an incredible improvement for me!

Which of course could be that the NC200 set is wrong for the person, or the 250 not suited to their preference for speakers, etc!

Full disclosure, it was not that I discontented in any way with the 200 system but rather, my mistake, mentioned in passing that I might fancy a change following the flurry of interest in the Linn Selekt here.
Not a discussion to have with your dealer unless you’re absolutely certain.

An interesting thing Linn streamers have isSoundOptimisation,which, while by no means a resolution for all acoustic limitations of rooms, reportedly has significant benefits for many. But changing electronics to get that, rather than an add-on box, is costly and you’d have to like everything else about it.
I known exactly what you mean.
I wrote here in early 2021 about the dramatic improvement my aids gave me. As you say, expensive but worth every penny.
When considering the cost of much hi-fi, perhaps not so expensive… especially as it is the largest single improvement, by a long way, I have ever made to my system.

Having heard the Klimax version of the Linn Streamer against the 555 I think there is little to choose between them. Some of the people I listened with preferred one and some the other. I was in the group that preferred the Naim on balance, but of the few songs we listened to, on one I did prefer the Linn.
@Osiris there is always the option of combining the best of two worlds; fitting the Selekt DSM with analogue output module(s) and Organic DAC and using a NC NAP 250 … I’m tempted to listen to this combination, but don’t want to go down the rabbit hole
Still trying really hard to NOT spend money on HiFi in 2025.
As we ( me and my best mate, my wife) have been so busy with other things, it’s been straight forward to date.
Managed to make it to September.
Although the prospect of a 555PS for our nDAC still beckons and maybe plays on my mind.
