I find LEDs absolutely abhorring and disable superfluous lights as much as I can. The ones that cannot, are masked off when it’s possible to do nicely (so no gaffa-tape on the equipment). That status LED on our Mu-so got a dollop of Poscha paint matching the cabinet 
and our now departed Luxman L-58 had its power light dipped in red paint (that gave it a decidedly submarine innards kind of look 
).
