Not totally surprising in a reassuring way.
My ND5XS is on a trip to Salisbury for a new display. I couldn’t live without music, so spent £90 for a basic streamer in the form of Wiim Mini. Dropped into my system with an optical connection to Chord Qutest instead of BNC coax from the ND5XS.
Its sort of OK, but just not Naim… Treble is harsh and fatiguing and vocals veiled and muddy. UX on the Wiim app is nice visually, but severely hampered by lack of responsiveness.
