Hi, you cannot have two inputs active simultaneously so I’m afraid your plan is not going to work.
Whether the mic could work into the analogue input I’m not sure, but either way it isn’t going to function as a karaoke machine.
Thanks for replying. Your answer is what I was afraid of.
Is Muso 2 too hi-end to be used as karaoké setup ?
Because I was at a friend’s house, they have the exact same mic. They basically just plug the FM receiver into their JBL speaker, broadcast music audio from their smartphone via bluetooth to the speaker, and everything works smoothly.
I find it hard to accept that mine costs 10x more and couldn’t work.
I’m not sure why you aren’t getting a signal via the analogue input - that should work with a line level analogue source. Check the cable and connections.
However, the Mu-So has no onboard mixer for Karaoke. You would need an add-on mixer box (they are available for not a lot of money) which will allow you to connect both the audio from the TV and the microphone as well as adjust levels for a perfect mix, and from that you could connect via the Mixer’s line level output into the Mu-So2.
If you don’t get any sound when seleting the analogue input (which iwill silence the TV), then wht is the spec for the microphone receiver’s output level? (Should be given as 1v or 100mV etc)
As for karaoke, the Muso not being able to play two inputs at once is normal in the hifi world, and it is made by a hifi company so perhaps not surprising - nothing to do with the pric of the product, but its intended purpose and heritage.
