Wiring RCA to 4 Pin DIN for a NAP 100

Been scouring the net for definitive wire connections for RCA to 4 Pin Din.

See photos. Both left and right RCA plugs carry audio via the red wire for pins ch1 and ch2.

The blue and black wires are connected at the RCA end to the outer ring which is negative (-ve). So to my mind the -ve then receives 4 wires, 2 black and 2 blue to complete the din plug.

Am i correct?

The black wires should only be connected to the RCA.

Yes - you’re correct. The RCA plug pins connect to Ch1 and Ch2 respectively (ch1 = left, 2 right) at the DIN end. The RCA outers connect to -ve.

There is no 24v rail on the NAP100 amplifier’s DIN4 socket, unlike some of the other Naim power amps, so no worries here about feeding 24v where you don’t want it.

Upgrade to Nap 140 …

In the top photo, is a black wire soldered to a red wire?

Done now, works great as agreed.
