I have already bought a Chord Qutest DAC and just need to get a cd player for my system. At first I was thinking about a transport but then I saw the Yamaha CD c603 5 disc changer. It seems to get good reviews and the 5 disc capacity is quite atractive. Worth considering?
Personally, I would avoid multi disc machines.
Is that because they break down easier or any other reason?
I would be wary of any such machine, not through any personal experience.
To me, common sense suggests more to go wrong.
Purely my opinion.
If you want uninterrupted music , consider a streamer.
I do have an NDX2 but want a cd player. The Yamaha seems to get good reviews and 6 years warranty is quite reassuring.
Go for it if it suits your needs.
Given your pretty good system, I would suggest auditioning the C603 before buying. I listened to a few CD players the C603’s price range. They sounded Okay, just Okay. You might look for a good transport and you could run it through your NDX2. Might cost more, but it would probably sound better.
I have a Chord Qutest external dac so the 603 would act as a transport
