Your Song/Track of the Day

I haven’t seen that box before, but I have all Lennie Bernstein’s Mahler recordings on Deutsche Grammophon LPs.

The only Decca Mahler of his that I know of is a Vienna PO 1967 recording of ‘Das Lied Von Der Erde’ with (unusually) two male soloists, James King and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau.

Max. Thanks for posting this one. Unknown to me but I have just ordered the CD.

You’re welcome!
The original song is from an Italian songwriter from the early sixties, a very moody and melancholic song.
Bollani managed to make it good jazz and to preserve its mood. He’s a great musician. I’m happy to learn you want the disc.

Enjoy!
Max

Mysteriously, I started the day with this in mind. I hope it’s a positive sign for the evening…
